I have been working on some projects for the Butterfly festival in May. Our church is setting up a booth and selling baked goods, crafts, and custom Christian T-shirts. Below are a few pics of the signs that I have made. Still honing my skills. I'll get there.

Ouch!

Ok so Monday I walked almost a mile. To some of you that may seem like a trip to the mailbox, to me it was like a trip to South Carolina. Today, my poor shins are killing me. It's hard carrying so much weight on these bones. I could hear them wince each time I took a step. I'm just glad that I was able to drive home, and that I didn't have to walk. lol.

Well, It's 8:56 pm and I just had a glass of cold sundrop. It feels like I'm hanging out with a boyfriend, that I know I'm going to break up with in the morning. lol. Weird analogy but true none the less. When you are an emotional eater you crave things that make you feel good, if even for a short while. Sundrop is my feel good food/drink of choice. Sad isn't it?

I'll probably be blogging a little more tonight, because I have a lot that I want to say and get out before my new day begins.

Anyway, please keep me in your prayers tonight and always, that God will give me the strength and motivation that I need to be a success!

For now, take care and God bless!

"D" Day

When I decided that the time was right for me to get healthy, I knew that I would have to give myself a couple of days to get use to the idea, because contrary to popular belief, getting healthy isn't just about dieting and changing what you eat, it's about a change in lifestyle.

So, Monday April 5, 2010 has been declared "D" Day. My life is going to undergo a major overhaul. No more soft drinks, a huge reduction in breads and pasta, and a lot more physical activity. I'm a stay at home/work at home mom, with way too much time on my hands and that is a recipe for disaster. I do a lot of my work on the computer so there isn't much walking required to design a website or work on graphics.

This weekend is also a holiday that is traditionally filled with family gatherings and large meals, so I guess you could say that I'm going out with a bang. lol. As Monday slowly approaches, little by little I'm leaving the old me behind. So that is why I have titled this blog, Goodbye You, Hello ME! I hope you find something that you read here, useful and that someway somehow, I can be an inspiration to someone else that is considering a lifestyle change. For now, take care and God bless. Talk to you soon!
